How the calculator works
Visitors enter the first step. At every step, the conversion rate decides how many people continue. When a step charges money, buyers at that step multiply by its price. Total revenue divided by visitors is your earnings per click, which is also your break-even cost per click.
The "fix this step first" result raises each step's rate by 10% of itself, one at a time, and reports the step that adds the most revenue. In a straight-line funnel, early steps often tie because they feed everything after them; then pick the one that is cheapest to improve.
These are planning estimates. Real funnels also have refunds, product costs and branching paths. Rev Funnels models YES and NO paths, A/B tests and upsell declines on a visual map.
Questions
How do you calculate sales funnel revenue?
Start with visitors. Multiply by each step's conversion rate to get how many people reach the next step, and multiply buyers at each paid step by that step's price. Add the revenue from every paid step.
What is earnings per click (EPC)?
Earnings per click is total funnel revenue divided by visitors. It tells you what each click is worth to your funnel.
What is break-even cost per click?
Your break-even cost per click equals your earnings per click. Pay less per click and ads make money; pay more and they lose money, before product costs.
What is ROAS?
Return on ad spend is revenue divided by ad spend. A ROAS of 2.0x means every dollar of ads brought back two dollars of revenue.
